PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery capable of preventing generation of disorder caused by shift of an electrode plate group due to shock or vibration. SOLUTION: On the secondary battery 1, the electrode plate group 3 and electrolyte are housed in a battery case 2, and an opening of the battery case 2 is sealed by an assembled sealing plate 11 having a built-in safety structure 17 releasing pressure outward when internal pressure of the battery case 2 becomes higher than a prescribed pressure. At least one part of a ventilation hole 13a out of ventilation holes 13a, 13b, 13c facing inside the battery case 2 of the assembled sealing plate 11 is constituted of an opening formed by a cut-and-rise piece 23, and the shift of the electrode plate group is restricted by making a top end of the cut-and-rise piece 23 contact an insulation plate 4a arranged at one end of the electrode plate group 3.
