PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly provide a user with information related to a vehicle position even if the position of an own vehicle is not grasped by the user. SOLUTION: In this system, an operator in an information center 20 retrieves information according to an information transmission request from the user to transmit the retrieved information to an on-vehicle unit 1 by means of data communication. When information has been transmitted last to the on-vehicle unit 1 by means of data communication, data are received from the on-vehicle unit 1 on the vehicle position and on a time when the vehicle position is detected.
