PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejector which can carry out feeding of a liquid from a liquid container to a liquid jet head without causing shortage by supplying a pressurized gas into the liquid container on the basis of driving of a pressurizing means, and to provide a method of supplying a pressurized gas in a liquid ejector. SOLUTION: The ink-jet printer is equipped with an ink storage part 23. A plurality of cartridge holders 28 and ink cartridges 29 are set in the ink storage part 23. A second pressurization pump 50 is installed in each cartridge holder 28. An expanding contracting member 53 which expands and contracts on the basis of the movement of a slider 39 is set at each second pressurization pump 50. The expanding contracting member 53 contracts on the basis of the movement of the slider 39 when the ink cartridge 29 is loaded.
