PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup device capable of adjusting the parallel degree of a pair of guide shafts for guiding an optical head with respect to the recording surface of an optical disk by an inexpensive structure. SOLUTION: The guide shaft 2 receives an elastic restoring force from a twist coil spring 5 attached to a chassis 1 to be pressed in a direction apart from the recording surface of the optical disk. In the proximate positions of at least three tips 2a of the totally four tips 2a of the guide shaft 2, adjust screws 5 rotated to move back and forth are engaged with nuts 6 to be attached to the chassis 1. The outer peripheral parts of the tips 2a of the guide shaft 2 abut on the flat inner end surfaces of the heads 5a of the screws 5 to define the pressed position of the guide shaft 2.
