PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method that evaluates whether an acceleration operation is gentle, when a vehicle is started from a stop state and accelerated to a cruising speed. SOLUTION: From a record of travel speed recorded by a digital tachometer, speed changes for several tens of seconds from a stop state to a cruising speed are analyzed, and the average acceleration is evaluated for many acceleration operations. The number of times or rate of acceleration, exceeding a standard acceleration depending on each vehicle model, can be computed to statistically evaluate the driver's skill. In this way, since evaluation value of each driver's acceleration operation is presented in an easy-to-understand mode from the digital travel record, for allowing each driver to drive safely and economically.
