PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a case holding structure with a case mountable on a vehicle body in at least two directions while being kept in the mounted condition for a long period. SOLUTION: This case holding mechanism has a holding part 3 for holding a held part 20. It comprises the held part 20 having pairs of guide portions 21-24 extending parallel to each other and perpendicular to each other, and the holding part 3 provided on one pair of guide portions 21, 22 movably therealong while being constrained in the thickness direction, for holding the held part 20. The holding part 3 consists of a pair of guide portions 5 to be moved along the outer faces of one pair of guide portions 21, 22, a lock portions 10 to be locked to the other pair of guide portions 23, 24 while extending parallel to the guide portions 21, 22 therebetween, and a base portion 7 for connecting the guide portions 5 to the lock portion 10.
