<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical space communication device for stable communication even if an optical signal is attenuated owing to scattering of light being propagated in the atmosphere. <P>SOLUTION: The optical space communication device includes a reception optical system which receives scattered light and a means of adjusting and controlling a light output level according to the reception level of the scattered light, and detects and combines the level of reception from an opposite device with the reception level of the scattered light to judge an increase in loss of a transmission line, trouble of the opposite device, or trouble of the device itself, thereby controlling the light output level to a proper level or stopping the light output. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
