<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of driving a piezoelectric actuator, a driver in the piezoelectric actuator, an electronic device, a control program and a recording medium of the driver in the piezoelectric actuator for efficiently driving the piezoelectric actuator in response to a drive environment. <P>SOLUTION: A pre-scan process for sweeping a frequency, detecting a consumed current at each drive frequency and obtaining a drive characteristic of a vibration element is implemented when a power supply is turned on or a drive is activated. A drive signal determining process sets the frequency at which the consumed current is a predetermined reference value or more within a drive frequency range based on the drive characteristic obtained in the pre-scan process. When a rotating shaft is actually driven, a sweep drive for sweeping the frequency is implemented within the drive frequency range set in the drive signal determining process. Since the pre-scan process is implemented when the power supply is turned on or the drive is activated and the drive frequency range is set in response to the drive environment, the drive efficiency can be improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
