<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing apparatus where a developer replacing work is unnecessary, and also, image definition is maintained even when the apparatus is installed in an inclined place, and to provide an image forming apparatus equipped with the developing apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A developer quantity regulating member 20 which regulates the quantity of developer held and carried by a developing roller 17 is formed to a cylindrical shape, and also, the member 20 is rotatably arranged facing the developing roller 17. At least a part of the member 20 is constituted of a conductive body, and the member 20 also functions as a developer discharging mechanism of attracting the developer held and carried by the developing roller 17 toward the member 20 and sticking the developer to the member 20 as a bias voltage is applied by bias voltage parts 39a and 39b in between the member 20 and the developing roller 17, thereafter, discharging the developer from a developer tank 16, that is, discharging the deteriorated developer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
