<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature sensing device for preventing ill effect generated by maintaining precision of temperature control of an object to be heated in a constant range to foul a first temperature sensing means, and to provide a temperature controller, and an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus comprises a photoreceptor drum 14, a thermo-pile type temperature sensor 902, a thermistor 903, and a control circuit 904. In the control circuit 904, when it occurs that a comparator 1002 operates at low temperature by a comparator 1001 (when detection information of a non-contact thermistor 903 exceeds a prescribed range), fouling of the thermo-pile sensor 902 is alarmed. In addition, heating of the photoreceptor drum 14 due to a heater 901 is stopped. Detection information of the thermo-pile temperature sensor 902 is corrected on the basis of the detection information of the non-contact thermistor 903.
