<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multishaft windmill with a blade arranged particularly on the outer periphery of a vertical main shaft for idling turn, wherein the vertical main shaft is rotated with a Magnus effect following non-load turn of the blade to achieve good windmill efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The vertical-shaft windmill comprises the blade arranged around the vertical main shaft for non-load turn via a vertical sub-shaft.
