PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To separate single neuron active waveform from a plurality of raw waveforms on real time.

SOLUTION: A separation matrix calculation part 10 calculates a separation matrix required for separating a single neuron active waveform according to an independent component analysis method from a plurality of the raw waveforms. An independent component waveform extraction part 12 uses a separation matrix W to extract an independent component waveform as the single neuron active waveform from a plurality of the raw waveforms. In this case, the separation matrix calculation part 10 calculates a new separation matrix from a plurality of other raw waveforms measured after a plurality of the raw waveforms whenever a predetermined unit time passes. When the separation matrix calculation part 10 calculates the new separation matrix, the independent component waveform extraction part 12 uses the separation matrix to extract the new independent component waveform as the single neuron active waveform from a plurality of other raw waveform.
