PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image scanner by which high-value added image data can be scanned with compact size. SOLUTION: There is provided the image scanner for scanning the same region of an image from different directions to output the image data thus scanned as a result of performing an arithmetical operation between the images scanned in the same region.
