PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a one-way transmission device for a hub of a rear wheel of a bicycle having a pawl carrying body with the reduced weight of the hub of the rear wheel of the bicycle and a plurality of pawls housed in a plurality of seats formed on a pawl carrying body, respectively. SOLUTION: The one-way transmission device 1 for the hub of the rear wheel of the bicycle has the pawl carrying body 10 and the plurality of pawls 20 housed in the plurality of seats 30 formed on the pawl carrying body 10. The pawls 20 are made of materials such as steel and titanium, while the pawl carrying body 10 is made of a material such as an aluminum alloy. To minimize wear caused by abrasion generated by the slight rotation movement of the pawls 20 in the seats 30, contacting means 40, 60 made of wear resistant materials are inserted between the pawl 20 and the seat 30. In a first embodiment, the contacting means 40, 60 comprise pawl housing shells 40 made of steel or titanium and integrally combined with the seat 30. In a second embodiment, the contacting means 40, 60 comprise wear resistant coating layers 60 applied on the seat 30 by a surface deposition process. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
