PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt attachment jig capable of preventing damage of a belt when the belt is expanded to the peripheral direction and attached to a pulley groove on a pulley outer peripheral surface. SOLUTION: The belt attachment jig 2 to be attached to the pulley is provided with a holding surface 16 flush with an outer peripheral surface of a pulley flange 8. The belt 7 is wound around the holding surface 16 on the outer side of the pulley 5. The belt 7 is fitted to the pulley groove 6 on a rear part of the pulley rotation direction. The belt 7 is guided to the outer side of the pulley 5 in a front part of the pulley rotation direction. The belt 7 is turned to the belt width direction near the holding surface 16. The pulley 5 is rotated. The belt 7 guided to the outer side of the pulley 5 is moved to the outer side of the radial direction, and approaches an outer end of the pulley flange 8. The belt 7 is moved to the belt width direction by the restoring force with respect to the curve of the belt width direction.
