PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photosensitive emulsion having low fog, high image density, high sensitivity and excellent storage stability by suppressing aggregation of silver halide grains, uniformizing the dispersion distributions of the silver halide grains and silver salt of fatty acid particles, and reducing the particle diameter of the silver salt of fatty acid particles, and to provide a method of preparing the photosensitive emulsion and a silver salt photothermographic dry imaging material using the photosensitive emulsion. SOLUTION: The photosensitive emulsion is prepared by mixing a photosensitive silver halide grain dispersion formed by dispersing photosensitive silver halide grains in an organic solvent having a water content of≤10% into a non-photosensitive organic silver salt particle dispersion formed by dispersing non-photosensitive organic silver salt particles in an organic solvent having the water content of≤10%.
