PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid fuel which has no problem in transportation and storage and contains small amount of a fossil fuel such as a heavy oil. SOLUTION: The liquid fuel comprises a fine powder obtained by pulverizing wooden materials or wasted wooden materials, a surfactant and a liquid fuel. The liquid fuel is preferably a hydrocarbon oil, which is preferably a heavy oil. The fine powder of a wooden material preferably contains 95% or more of a powder having a particle diameter of 100 mesh or less, and 80% or more of a powder having a particle diameter of 200 mesh or less.
