<p>The invention is a chair or armchair (1) of the type comprising: a seat (2) associated with a bearing structure (3) resting on the ground and in which it is possible to identify uprights (4, 5); a backrest (6) coupled with the uprights (4, 5) through a sliding unit (7) for the vertical movement of the backrest (6) with respect to the seat (2); adjusting units (8) to fix the backrest (6) in different positions with respect to the seat (2). The adjusting units (8) comprise first counteracting means (9) belonging to the uprights (4, 5), and second counteracting means (10) cooperating with the first counteracting means (9), belonging to an operating button (11) housed in a seat (13) made in the backrest (6) and having the visible surface (15) accessible to the user positioned on the same side as the front surface (16) of the backrest (6).</p> |
