Provided are a cap assembly which is prevented in the individual rotation of a gasket apart from a cap plate and the rotation of an electrode terminal, a lithium ion secondary battery using the cap assembly. The cap assembly comprises a cap plate(310) which has at least terminal penetration hole; and an electrode terminal(320) which is penetrated into the case through the penetration hole to be installed and is provided with a gasket formed at the outer side for insulating it from the cap plate, wherein a groove or a projection(312) is formed at the cap plate, the gasket is provided with a projection or a groove(332) corresponding to the groove or projection of the cap plate, and the cap plate and the gasket are engaged each other. |
