A multimedia contents output apparatus and a method for displaying the booting state of the same are provided to sequentially confirm booting states of each constructing member including the main screen device, thereby easily managing the apparatus periodically. A control member(130) includes a boot loader for executing a booting program, a PLL(Phased Locked Loop) and a clock signal circuit, enables the PLL and clock signal circuit when firstly the power is supplied, and arranges the frequency source to be used to a DVD(Digital Video Disc) reproducing device. The control member firstly drives a sub image device(160) through a control port and sequentially transmits notifying messages according to the initialization state of each construction part. A main image device(170) displays multimedia contents reproduced by the control member and a user panel screen.
