摘要 A clamping apparatus is provided to improve energy efficiency by performing boosting process through small amount of hydraulic fluid, and reduce space occupied by the apparatus by reducing the size of a hydraulic fluid storage chamber and size of a clamping piston. A clamping apparatus comprises a column(140) mounted on a transfer unit so that the column is movable in forward and rearward directions; and a clamping piston(150) to be engaged/separated to/from the column. The column has a surface on which column teeth(141) are formed in an axial direction, and the space formed between the column teeth is defined as a joint groove(142). The clamping piston has a center with an opening, and an inner surface with a joint teeth mounting groove is formed into a ring shape, so that joint teeth(152) are mounted in the joint teeth mounting groove in a circumferential direction. A rotating disk(160) is spaced apart from the joint teeth in the axial direction of the column, and has a surface on which a plurality of joint teeth guide grooves(161) are formed, so that joint teeth guide members(153) are positioned in the joint teeth guide grooves, respectively. The joint teeth guide members are connected to the respective joint teeth. The joint teeth and the column are engaged with each other by permitting joint teeth to move in a center direction or circumferential direction of the rotating disk when the joint teeth guide member moves within the guide teeth guide groove during rotation of the rotating disk.
