A MOST DVD player is provided to differentiate each path according to a media type and variably allocating a MOST channel. A DVD loader(59) reproduces video data and audio data. An MPEG encoder(51) compresses the video data reproduced by the DVD loader. A path conversion unit(53) changes a path so that one of the audio data outputted from the DVD loader(59) and the video data outputted from the MPEG encoder(51) according to a reproduced media type. A MOST network interface(55) variably allocates a channel according to the reproduced media type and transfers the audio data or the video data to the MOST network. An MCU(57) discriminates the reproduced media type and controls path conversion of the path conversion unit(53) and the channel allocation of the MOST network interface(55).
