<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data communication controller, a data communication control method, and a program for suppressing occurrence of the delay in data transfer. <P>SOLUTION: In a data communication controller, when it is decided that the storage of a packet in a memory is completed, a memory management table is updated with color information of a packet, packet size information, and reception order information in which a reception order from a computer is decided to be the last (step S505), and when the transmission of the packet to a printer is completed, a memory management table for managing a region where the transmitted packet is stored is updated as necessary, as a management table for managing a free space whose storage order is the last, and the reception order information of the table for managing the region where the packet received prior to the last transmitted packet is stored among the tables for managing the region where the packet is stored is updated (step S509).
