<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the constitution of an image forming apparatus capable of effectively shortening user's standby time required when a medium to be recorded is manually fed and supplied without making failure. <P>SOLUTION: The main motor 96 of a laser printer 1 is constituted as a common driving source for driving a fixing roller 55 together with a resist roller 13 when driving the resist roller 13. Furthermore, the laser printer 1 is provided with a thermistor 105 for detecting the temperature of the fixing roller 55 and a manual feeding sensor 103 for detecting whether or not the paper is inserted in a manual feeding port 7a. When detecting the paper by the manual feeding sensor 103 and determining that the temperature of the fixing roller 55 is lower than first temperature at which image forming can be started and reaches second temperature higher than the melting point of toner, the resist roller 13 is driven by the main motor 96, so that the paper is held. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
