LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY ELEMENT AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display wherein a watermark can be provided and to provide its manufacturing method.

SOLUTION: An array substrate 2 has a transmission system region 24 and a reflection system region 23 for every pixel 4. A concavely hollowed part 15 is formed on a passivation film 13 in the transmission system region 24 of each pixel 4. Slope parts 16 and 17 are formed at both side surfaces of the concavely hollowed part 15. A reflection layer 22 is formed on the slope part 16 of the concavely hollowed part 15. The reflection layer 22 on the slope part 16 can be visually confirmed by reflection of external light by inclining a liquid crystal display element 1 at a prescribed angle. The reflection layer on the slope part 16 is made to correspond to a prescribed shape and changed for every pixel 4. When the liquid crystal display element 1 is inclined at the prescribed angle and visually confirmed, the external light reflects and the prescribed shape emerges.
