<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an encoding method of an image capable of using completely the same display control sequence table DCSQT, and making the display control sequence table DCSQT relocatable, even when the same sub-video data 32 are displayed at a plurality of different times, and to provide a reproducing method and reproducing apparatus thereof. <P>SOLUTION: A time stamp SPDCTS in the display control sequence table 33 is recorded at a relative time after PTS is updated (namely, after the sub-video data unit is updated).
