<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance transmission efficiency while maintaining excellent BER (bit error rate) characteristic. <P>SOLUTION: A setting part 13 sets an FFT (fast Fourier transform) section of an Nc symbol for an FFT part 14 on the basis of the maximum delay amount of a delay wave and expanse of inpulse response of an FDE (frequency domain equalization), and sets a selection section of an Nc-2M-Δsymbol shorter than the FFT section for a selecting part 17. Further, the setting part 13 sets a start point of the FFT section and a start point of the selection section to be set this time to timing obtained by shifting them from the previously set start point of the FFT section and the previously set start point of a selection section only by the Nc-2M-Δsymbol.
