<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein there is risk of giving glare to an oncoming vehicle or the like when abnormality is generated on a shade drive mechanism in a conventional head lamp device for a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The head lamp device for the vehicle is provided with lamps 8 arranged on left and right sides of a front part of the vehicle rotatably around a horizontal axis H-H; a leveling actuator 7 for rotating the lamp 8 around the horizontal axis H-H; a solenoid 6 for changing light distribution irradiated from the lamp 8; a traveling state detection part 1 for detecting the traveling state of the vehicle and outputting the detection signal; an abnormality detection part 3 for detecting abnormality of the solenoid and outputting the detection signal; and a control part for operating the solenoid 6 based on the detection signal from the traveling state detection part 1 to vary the light distribution irradiated from the lamp 8 and driving the leveling actuator 7 based on the detection signal from the abnormality detection part 3 to downward rotate the lamp 8. As a result, glare is not given to the oncoming vehicle or the like even if the abnormality is generated on the solenoid 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
