PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wet type image forming apparatus capable of preventing, despite long period use, toner from adhering to the inner wall surface of a duct through which liquid developer passes, and capable of smoothly moving the liquid developer. SOLUTION: The wet type image forming apparatus develops a latent image formed on a photoreceptor drum by using the developer prepared by dispersing electrically charged toner in an electrically neutral solvent, and transfers the image on the photoreceptor drum to paper after temporarily transferring it to an intermediate transfer belt. The wet type image forming apparatus has ducts 94, 99 for transferring the developer, a reflux duct 69 and a waste duct 106. The ducts 94, 99, etc., are provided with vibrating devices 150.
