PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carton making apparatus having the high shaping precision of a carton and enhanced in the coefficient of utilization of a material at the time of manufacture of a blank. SOLUTION: A sheetlike blank is pushed in the first shaping space (T1), which is surrounded by a plurality of first movable formers (6A), by a mandrel (1) to bend a first blank (96) along the outer peripheral side surface of the mandrel (1) and, after the first blank (96) is pressed to the mandrel (1) by the first movable formers (6A), the mandrel (1) having sucked and held the first blank (96) is allowed to escape from the first shaping space (T1). Next, the mandrel (1) having sucked and held the first blank (96) is pushed in the second shaping space (T2) surrounded by a plurality of second movable formers (7A) and a second blank (97) is subsequently pressed by the second movable formers (7A) to be pressed and bonded to the first blank (96).
