PACKAGE FOR STORING IMAGING ELEMENT AND IMAGING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a package for storing an imaging element and imaging device which has a superior optical positional accuracy of the imaging element and has a high hermetic reliability. SOLUTION: The package for storing the imaging element comprises a substrate 3 consisting of a square flat plate-like insulator formed with a placement for the imaging element 4 at the center of the top face, a plurality of metallic lead terminals 2 installed in the periphery of the top face of the substrate 3, a frame 1 bonded to the entire circumference of the periphery of the top face of the substrate 3 by a bonding material 5 via the lead terminals 2, and a quartz plate 7 so bonded to the top face of the frame 1 as to block the inside of the frame 1. The frame 1 and the substrate 3 consist of the insulator having a coefficient of linear thermal expansion of 8×10-6to 10×10-6/°C. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
