PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosensitive pellet type thermal fuse capable of accelerating a response speed so as to make switching at an operating temperature fast and accurate by using a thermoplastic resin which softens and melts as a thermosensitive pellet. SOLUTION: This thermal fuse is equipped with a metallic enclosure 12 to house the thermosensitive pellets 10 made of the thermoplastic resin, a first lead member 14 combined with one end side of the enclosure to form a fist electrode 15 at its tip part, a second lead member 16 fixed to the other end side of the enclosure to form a second electrode on the inner wall surface of the enclosure, and a switching function member including a movable conductor 20 and spring bodies 24, 26 so as to push the thermosensitive pellets 10. In this thermal fuse which switches an electric circuit between the first electrode and the second electrode at a prescribed temperature by softening and melting of the thermosensitive pellet, a pellet lightened, multi-layered, and mixed is used as the thermosensitive pellet equipped with an operation expediting means to accelerate the response speed for switching.
