PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a thrust ball bearing with the usage of a retainer of a press formed article under high load and high speed conditions by increasing strength of a strut between pocket holes for retaining a ball. SOLUTION: A reinforcing wall 13 rising along an outer surface of an exposed part of the ball 5 is provided on a peripheral edge of the pocket hole 11 provided on the retainer 6 formed annularly by pressing a metal plate and having a raceway confronting surface confronting a raceway surface and inner and outer walls bent along the same direction on the inner and outer sides.
