摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration control structure which carries out vibration control of a construction through a simple structure without occupying a large space, and exerts excellent vibration resistance and wind resistance, at a low cost. SOLUTION: According to the vibration control structure, a rigid body 1 is formed like a box by fixing structural plywood sheets 13 to a steel frame 12, and divided into pieces at locations each corresponding to a midpoint of a story height. The divided pieces are connected together in a mutually movable manner by connectors 6 and viscoelastic bodies 7. The top of the rigid body 1 is bolted to a ceiling beam 2 of a building 10 via a splice plate 8 formed of a steel plate. Further a portion of the rigid body, located on the intermediate beam 2 or a floor is fixed to a structural member such as the beam 2 via the splice plate 8 similarly to the top. Thus an earthquake force imposed on the building 10 is transmitted to the rigid body 1 which then undergoes vibration with a cycle that is different from the natural vibration cycle of the building 10, and therefore vibration of the building 10 is dampened.
