PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a sheet from being torn, when the sheet is pulled out from an upstream side in the conveying direction after the sheet is nipped between a pair of resist rollers. SOLUTION: After a tip of the sheet is nipped between the pair of resist rollers, a drive means for the pair of resist rollers is stopped once.
