PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably arrange a mold opening/closing servomotor, a mold thickness adjusting motor and an ejecting servomotor in the mold opening/closing mechanism of a vertical injection molding machine constituted so as to integrally move a tail stock and a movable die plate up and down. SOLUTION: In the vertical injection molding machine comprising the tail stock loaded with the mold opening/closing servomotor and the mold thickness adjusting motor, the movable die plate having a movable mold arranged on its undersurface side, the tie bar which connects the tail stock and the movable die plate, the fixed die plate arranged between the tail stock and the fixed die plate and having a fixed mold arranged on its upper surface side and the ejecting servomotor mounted on the fixed die plate, one of the mold opening/closing servomotor and the mold thickness adjusting motor is arranged on the right-hand surface side of the tail stock and the other one of them is arranged on the left-hand surface side of the tail stock while the ejecting servomotor is arranged on the rear surface side of the fixed die plate.
