The method involves making a length of hose-like material (1) already studded with slide fasteners (26) and bag sidewalls. The material is wound into a roll (100) and transported into an FFS machine, and is unrolled for feeding into the FFS machine. The machine cuts down the material into hose or bag sections, fills goods into the sections, and seals the sections in place. An independent claim is also included for a system for production and filling of bags.
