When receiving from a motor generator (MG2) an instruction of activating an engine (ENG) during driving of the driving wheel of a hybrid automobile, a control apparatus (30) generates and outputs a signal (PWMC) to a boosting converter (12) to cause the boosting converter (12) to boost the DC voltage (Vb) outputted from a battery (B) up to a maximum voltage (Vmax) of a motor driving apparatus (100). When the output voltage (Vm) of the boosting converter (12) reaches the maximum voltage (Vmax), the control apparatus (30) generates and outputs a signal (PWMI1) to an inverter (14) to cause the inverter (14) to drive a motor generator (MG1) in a power running mode. |
