<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document management system, its history management method and a program for storing image data relating to image processing to be transmitted from a client computer in a document management server in an efficient format so that the image data can be traced afterwards. <P>SOLUTION: In a server document management system, a digital composite unit(MFP) as an image processor receives print data and a hash value from a user PC, and prints the received print data, and generates history information accessory to the print data, and generates image data based on the print data associated with the generated history information, and only when the above mentioned hash value does not exist in the document management server, the digital composite unit receives the history information generated concerning the print processing, and transmits the image data generated so as to be associated with the history information, and when receiving the image data simultaneously with the reception of the history information, registers the received history information and the image data in the document management server. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
