<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of adjusting image read conditions and image formation conditions on the basis of an output adjustment image in an image forming apparatus equipped with an automatic document feeder, and to provide the image forming apparatus in which the image read conditions and image formation conditions are adjusted by using the method. <P>SOLUTION: The adjustment method includes an adjustment image forming stage of forming the adjustment image consisting of partial images each formed at each edge of a quadrangular sheet and having an area projecting from the sheet based upon predetermined image data. Then the image formed on the sheet is read by a read means and a correction value for correcting the read conditions and formation conditions of the image of the sheet is found from the read data, thereby adjusting the image forming apparatus by using the correction value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
