<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface light source device having no luminance unevenness when LEDs of point light source are arranged in a row on the side of a light guide plate. <P>SOLUTION: A surface light source device 10 is used in a liquid crystal display device 1, and has a plurality of LEDs 18 arranged on the side of a light guide plate 12, and a prism group 22 of saw-shape in which a plurality of prisms 24 are arranged in order is installed in the incident part on the side face of the light guide plate 12. As regards the plurality of prisms 24 located from the position opposed to the LED 18-1 to the middle position between the adjoining LED18-2, the vertex angle of the prisms 24 becomes narrower the more they are separated from the opposed position to the LED18-1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
