摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface light source device having no luminance unevenness when LEDs of point light source are arranged in a row on the side of a light guide plate. <P>SOLUTION: A surface light source device 10 is used in a liquid crystal display device 1, and has a plurality of LEDs 18 arranged on the side of a light guide plate 12, and a prism group 22 of saw-shape in which a plurality of prisms 24 are arranged in order is installed in the incident part on the side face of the light guide plate 12.
