RADIO ON FIBER SYSTEM, SIGNAL PROCESSING METHOD THEREOF, AND SLAVE UNIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio on fiber system capable of preventing transmission of spurious transmission even on the occurrence of a transmission error in a transmission signal and to provide a signal processing method thereof and a slave unit.

SOLUTION: The radio on fiber (ROF) system 1 includes: a master unit 2; the slave unit 3; and an optical fiber cable 4, and the slave unit 3 is provided with: an O/E section 31; an error processing section 32 that decodes a correction coded digital signal received from the master unit into a digital coded signal; a D/A conversion section 33; a frequency conversion section 34 for outputting a transmission signal with a carrier frequency; a transmission amplifier 35; an antenna 36; a variable attenuator 38 that is inserted and connected to an input of the transmission amplifier 35; and a control section 37 that receives an alarm from the error processing section 32 and for denoting disabled error correction by the error processing section 32 and outputs an output limit signal for controlling the output of the transmission amplifier 35 to the variable attenuator 38 so as to carry out control of preventing transmission of spurious transmission on the occurrence of a transmission error.
