<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that there is the danger of giving damages to the pipes buried by an excavation machine in pipe laying works done to repair old pipes, that the surroundings of repaired pipes must be manually dug, that sand bags have to be piled up to prevent the collapse of excavated earth walls in case of much springs, that inappropriate connection of the buried pipes is unavoidable in case of much springs, that the efforts to increase the effects of water replacement using a drain pump is expected, etc. <P>SOLUTION: The temporary protector for the end of a buried pipe is provided with a hollow skeleton open at its upper and lower parts, a buried pipe end inlet opened by notching the lower side wall edge of the skeleton, another connecting pipe end inlet opened by notching the opposite lower side wall edge of the skeleton, a connecting pipe inlet cover which can open and be removed, and a removable skeleton cover covering its top surface.
