<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which can enhance the versatility of a memory card. <P>SOLUTION: A reduced size semiconductor memory card 1 is made usable to a device corresponding to a full-size semiconductor memory card by providing a cap 3 of the reduce size semiconductor memory card 1 with an adaptor attachment part 3a with projected cross section and engaging a recessed part of the side of an adaptor 2 into the adapter attachment part 3a. A semiconductor chip 5a for a memory and a semiconductor chip 5b for a controller are mounted on the main surface of a base substrate 4 of the semiconductor memory card 1. The semiconductor chips 5a, 5b are covered with sealing resin 11. In addition, a test pad 8 is formed at a state that it is exposed from the sealing resin 11 on the main surface of the base substrate 4.
