<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-contact portable recording medium that suppresses heat generation due to a power loss while effectively utilizing a current generated as a result of receiving a radio wave as an operation consumed current for the internal circuit without throwing away the current. <P>SOLUTION: The non-contact portable recording medium 1 includes: an antenna 2 for receiving the radio wave; a rectifier means 3 for rectifying a current generated in the antenna 2 for receiving the radio wave; a demodulation means 4 for demodulating data represented by the radio wave on the basis of a voltage resulting from rectifying the current by the rectifier means 3; a control means 5 for receiving the data represented by the radio wave; a recording means 6 for recording the data under the control of the control means 5; a resistor means 7 that receives the current rectified by the rectifier means 3, has a current versus voltage characteristic wherein the increase in the voltage is suppressed more as the current after the rectification is greater, and supplies the current to the control means 5; and a constant voltage power supply means 8 that is located between the resistor means 7 and the control means 5 and regulates the voltage applied to the control means 5 to be constant.
