<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noncontact data reception and transmission body which is excellent in durability to external force and in chemical resistance, can be made thin, and induces an electromotive force sufficiently exceeding an electromotive force for operating an IC chip to make the IC chip usable even if it contacts an article containing at least metal. <P>SOLUTION: The noncontact data reception and transmission body 10 is composed of; a housing 15 in which a concave part 15a is provided; an inlet 14 which is accommodated in the concave part 15a; and a second covering body 18 containing a magnetic material which is provided in a position, except a space 15b located between the housing 15 and the inlet 14, in the concave part 15a so that it may cover the inlet 14.
