PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescence element having high light emission luminance, high heat resistance, excellent high-temperature storability, and a long lifetime and to provide an aromatic amine derivative which realizes the same. SOLUTION: The aromatic amine derivative is a novel one composed of a central pyrene skeleton and one or more diphenylaminoaryl groups bonded thereto. The organic electroluminescence element is one composed of one or more organic thin film layers including at least a luminous layer and sandwiched between a cathode and an anode, wherein at least one of the organic thin film layers each contains the aromatic amine derivative alone or as a component of a mixture.
