PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stamper for molding an optical disk substrate which enhances transfer properties and reduces the cycle time of an optical disk substrate molding cycle, enables the fine pattern of a transfer surface and dispenses with alteration of existing mold equipment. SOLUTION: The stamper for molding the optical disk substrate for use in the molding of the optical disk substrate comprises the transfer surface 1 being the information surface of a pit or groove, the first heat insulating layer 3 provided under the transfer surface 1 and having heat insulating properties and a second heat insulating layer 5 provided through an Ni electroformed layer 4 comprising the same material as that of a layer 2 forming the transfer surface 1.
