PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve rationalization of furnace brazing of a heat exchanger. SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing a heat exchanger having a core 10 in which a flat tube 20 and a corrugated fin 30 are alternately stacked and having a tank body 40 to which an end of the tube is connected, the heat exchanger is constituted by assembling the tube, fin, and tank body and by furnace-brazing the assembled unit. The tube is prepared by roll-forming a belt-like base stock and furnace-brazing the formed body. In the furnace brazing, a wire is installed that pressurizes the core in the stacking direction, a first wire 310 is wound in a part 30-80 mm from the connecting part of the tank body to the tube, and a second wire 320 is wound in other parts. The fin to be employed is the one in which the center in the width direction is gently protruded.
