PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus and an image processing method for preventing omission of extracting of pixels having dust or scratch due infrared rays, and to provide a storage medium. SOLUTION: The pixel having dust or scratch which could not be extracted by infrared rays are determined and extracted, based on the distribution state of the extracted pixels having dust or scratch.
